“Paul’s record label, Go! Discs, bought the Lambretta and commissioned Peter Blake to paint it. The scooter was then on display in Paul’s living room, so my brother and I drove over in a van, picked it up, and took it to Margate for the photoshoot. It didn't have any fuel in the tank, as it would have been a fire hazard in Paul’s house, so we spent a day pushing it around the various locations in Margate. I think Paul gave the scooter away as a charity prize a few years later.” Lawrence Watson

This signed, limited edition print shows Paul Weller on the Stanley Road Lambretta. The scooter’s customised Sir Peter Blake paintwork reflects the artist’s cover design for Paul Weller’s most iconic solo album – 1995’s Stanley Road.

2025 marks 30 years since Stanley Road was released, giving us timeless Weller anthems such as The Changingman and You Do Something To Me.

Lawrence Watson’s portraits of music royalty have visually defined our favourite musicians for decades. For Print Matters, Lawrence shares an exclusive collection of limited edition, signed prints of his globally renowned work.

Shipping of prints

Print Matters exhibition prints will usually be shipped within 14 working days of the order being placed. We will notify directly if a print of a particular image ordered may take longer for any reason. These prints will be shipped flat in boxes specially designed for the purpose and should not be rolled, as this risks causing damage. The exhibition prints come complete with a label for the reverse of the frame that details the artist’s name, image title, edition number, and other key details.

Our fine art posters are supplied carefully rolled inside sturdy cardboard tubes and are sized to fit off-the-shelf, pre-made frames.
